Our 2020 Grant year is underway!

We look forward to joining Supportive Living Inc at their ribbon cutting ceremony for the Neuro Wellness Center on October 10th. It is always wonderful to see first hand what was made possible by our generous members.  With a commitment to improving the life of brain injured citizens, SLI has grown in scope to provide four residential facilities with a wealth of physical, cognitive and social programs. Filling the gap for a community that is often forgotten, SLI reminds us that brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time.  We admire SLI’s commitment - not only to care for and enrich lives, but to include research and internship opportunities in the scope of their services.

Looking back to the 2019 grant year, we reflect on all the non profits that we worked with...

Charles River Conservancy has literally transformed the banks of the Charles River and continues their commitment to clean water, volunteerism and to create usable parkland in Boston and Cambridge.  Pack a picnic lunch and spend an afternoon strolling the Charles, you will be amazed at the abundance of wildlife.

Boston CASA transforms lives of area foster children by providing CASA’s (Court Appointed Special Advocates) who volunteer to be a stable force in the mission of finding safe and permanent homes for children.  As the school year begins, we are reminded of how important stability is in the success of children. While any amount of gift is appreciated, purchasing goods through the Boston CASA Amazon Smile charity is a simple way to contribute!

Looking forward, we have some fun social events planned!

On September 25th,we are excited to be a part of The Norwood Space Center’s Pop UP Business Trunk Show.  We LOVE The Space Center, and we are excited to be expanding in the Neponset Valley area. Art, small businesses, microbrew beer and civic minded fun people - what’s not to like?  They are a unique collaborative community.

We are passionate about community. The Norwood Space Center (NSC) is a community of small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists, creatives, performers and collectors.”

We urge members, prospective members, friends and neighbors to stop by and say hello!

In October we will head north to Merrimack Valley.  In the next few weeks we will post the details about the where and when on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.  Speaking of Social Media, this year we will add MeetUp to our outreach effort. Keeping with the startup spirit, our hope is to onboard a local college intern eager to dig in and experience the thrill of growing and shaping a philanthropic organization.

On November 6th we will host our Impact 100 Holiday Social in the loft of the popular Hub Pub in Boston. Please join us for a casual gathering from 6 - 9pm.

We are excited about the upcoming grant year.  Please spread the word about Impact 100 Boston to help grow our membership. As our aim is to be as impactful as possible, and we look forward to expanding our circle.
